For many years a vast compilation of material pertaining to the life and accomplishments of President Shimon Peres – including rare documents, videos, photographs, and mementos – has been collected for his archives. The archives constitute a central component of the Peres Peace House in Jaffa and will serve as a center for interactive educational activities. Mr. Peres has acquired many certificates over the years including honorary doctorates from universities and institutions worldwide, as well as the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize, which he received together with Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat. In November 2008, President Peres made an official visit to Buckingham Palace in London, where Queen Elizabeth II awarded him honorary knighthood. To view the certificate of knighthood click here.
