In her first public role, Hanna spent many years coordinating cultural activities specifically for the Kibbutz Movement and "Beit Halochem" – The Sport and Culture Club for Disabled Soldiers.
Following this, Hanna began working for the Alon Institute, where she focused on "Education for Democracy and Peace". Hanna led workshops on democratic values and the peace process for educators within the Israeli high school system. The workshop curriculum was designed by the Alon Institute under Hanna's guidance and in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, and the material was successfully implemented in various schools throughout the country. Hanna's time at the Alon Institute also included a focus on new immigrants from the former Soviet Union, following the massive influx of Soviet Jews from the early 1990s. Under Hanna's leadership, special programs were initiated to introduce the new immigrants to life in Israel, including visiting kibbutzim and Arab villages.
In 1997, Hanna became Manager of the chambers of Prime Minister Shimon Peres. In 2000, Hanna commenced working on the establishment of Shimon Peres' archives and library. Since then, Hanna has documented all of Mr. Peres' activities, and continues to collect materials related to Mr. Peres.
Hanna currently serves as the Manager of the Library for Peace and Conflict Resolution that will be housed at the Peres Peace House in Jaffa.
Hanna has undertaken studies in journalism, as well as studying archive and information system management at Beit Berl Institute. She has participated in annual courses at Tel Aviv University on coexistence education for Arab and Jewish educators. |
