Ms. Yael Patir, Director of Civil Leadership Department, oversees cross-border peacebuilding programs that engage a wide range of civil society figures, including Palestinian and Israeli young political leaders. Yael joined the Peres Center in 2006 as Assistant to the Peres Center’s Director General. In this capacity, Yael took part in the establishment of the Palestinian-Israeli Peace NGO Forum, a network of some 100 Palestinian and Israeli peace and dialogue organizations, and has served as the Israeli Coordinator since the Forum’s inception in January 2006.
Prior to joining the Peres Center, Yael worked at Tel Aviv University’s School of Social Sciences as a Teacher’s Assistant at the Political Science Faculty, as well as Research Assistant for the Harold Hartog School for Government and Policy, with a focus on local authorities. Yael completed a specialized mediation course for political and civil society leaders and facilitation of dialogue between groups in conflict. She is an elected delegate to the Israeli party “Meretz” convention, and an elected member of the “Meretz” Young Council.
Yael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, and Political Science from Tel Aviv University. |
