The Peres Peace House will host a one-of-a-kind library that will serve as a primary resource for peace builders and other researchers from around the world. This collection, the Library and Educational Resource Center for Conflict Resolution, will encompass the general theme of "International Peace Processes,” and will house unmatched comprehensive information on the subject.
An exhibition hall and auditorium will also be included in the Peres Peace House so that significant large scale events in the pursuit of peace can be held under its roof. These areas will host peacebuilding initiatives and significant events, and will be equipped with the latest multimedia technology.
Furthermore, the building will house workshop facilities and activity rooms that will be utilized for peacebuilding projects in the fields of Sports, Peace Education and Culture, Theater, Art and more. These rooms will provide a much needed space for children of all backgrounds to meet – Arabs and Jews, Israelis and Palestinians.
The Shimon Peres archives will offer visitors an all-inclusive source on Mr. Peres’ formidable speeches, publications, personal collections, photographs, audio-visual materials and other relevant resources.
The structure will be surrounded by the Peace Park – a wide plaza encompassing tree-lined paths and tranquil views of the Mediterranean Sea. This area will serve as a gathering point for local residents, and will also lend itself to being utilized for large-scale events. |
