Our idea: A user-friendly application that gives a voice to people with impaired speech due to congenital or acquired impairments.
Our technology: A speech-pattern-recognition model that includes non-word sounds, such as breathing and pauses, to create a speech-recognition tool unique for each user. The app is individually customized and can be used regardless of the specific language, level of speech or source of the difficulty (whether due to a congenital or medical condition, such as cerebral palsy, or an acquired condition, such as a stroke or other trauma). It enables people with different levels of speech disabilities to communicate more easily with those around them.
